I like the drama in your first couple of sentences, as it hooks the reader. I know that sometimes thinking about punctuation might seem a bit boring, compared to the excitement of getting fantastic ideas onto the page, but good writing needs good punctuation! This piece would have been even better if you’d had question marks for questions,capital letters at the beginning of sentences, each new speaker on a new line etc. ( And I don’t know about you, but I found it very difficult to read red text on a blue background, great to change the colour but check that it can be read easily.)
